CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

Jess Scott is hosting kids art classes over the Christmas school holidays each Thursday.

No payment required to register.

All materials are supplied. Classes are 1.5  hours long. 

We'd love to see you for one of our workshops.

Classes are held by Artist Jess Scott. Jess is a visual artist and mother who has tutored kids creative workshops for years. She has worked with children at Dunwich State School, classes at her own Studio and more recently worked with Learning Ladders, Capalaba helping kids with disabilities enjoy their creativity. She holds a current Blue Card.

If you have a special event coming up, we can do a class just for your group. This is great for hens nights, girls weekends away, or just a great idea for all the kids in a holiday group to do something special together. Terms & Conditions and Student Waiver Form

This bit is boring but necessary to ensure everyone has a good time.

Please read the following terms and conditions to ensure you are completely aware and satisfied with our policies and procedures.

By engaging with us and our website you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all terms and conditions and policies without limitation. Starfish Studio reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will become effective immediately.

The scope of Agreement

Stradbroke Traders PTY LTD T/as Starfish Studio Stradbroke (known as Starfish Studio ) offers and sells through this website starfishstudio.com.au (hereinafter the ‘Website’) access to and bookings for Kids Art Classes and Adults Slop and Slurp Painting and Art experiences.

Kids Art Classes

All materials and tuition are included in the kid’s art class price.

Adults Slop and Slurp Art Classes

All materials and tuition are included in the adults Slop and Slurp class price.

Adults’ classes are BYO (wine and beer) Cheese platters will be supplied. Students must be 18 years or older.

The Staff and Location

These classes are hosted by artist Jess Scott at 63 Mooloomba Road,

Point Lookout. Jess and her husband Adrian are usually both on site – although classes are held by Jess.

Jess and Adrian Scott both hold current working with children Blue cards.

Jess also holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification (RSA) for the adults BYO classes.

In good weather classes are held on the deck at the front of the studio. In bad weather, the class may be held on the large outdoor table on the lower level at the front of Starfish Studio. Toilets are located inside the building.

Session Hours

We allow 1.5 hours for kids classes and 2 hours for our Adults Slop and Slurp Sessions.Please arrive and collect your student on time.

Payment methods

Payment must be made prior to confirm your booking, online via credit card using our

secure payment gateway, or in person in our store. All Prices are in Australian dollarsand include GST

Cancellation Policy

We have minimum class numbers for each session. If we can’t reach those numbers, we will contact you at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled class time and give you a full refund.

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, please make sure we are notified at least 24 hours ahead of the scheduled class time. We will happily refund you the full amount if we have adequate notice. Bookings cancelled less than 24 hours ahead or no shows will not be refunded.

Liability Waiver

The purchaser agrees that the provision of any service, including but not limited to the public painting, art class experience and Slop and Slurp purchased from our website or directly is at the purchaser’s sole risk.

The purchaser is aware that there may be contact with paints, pastels, cutting implements, glue and other artist and craft materials.

To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Starfish Studio will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this site, or from any services provided from this website or establishment. No oral advice or written information given by Starfish Studio nor its affiliates, nor any of their officers, directors, employees, agents, providers,or the like, shall create a warranty or legal obligation; nor shall the purchaser rely on any such information or advice.

Photography and Videography

Starfish Studio will take images and recordings in the course of its experiences/events.

By booking with Starfish Studio Stradbroke you authorize and permit us to take images and recordings of you, for the promotion and advertising of our products.

Service with Respect Policy

Starfish Studio has a a Zero Tolerance Policy to ensure all its clients and team members are treated with dignity and respect. This means that aggressive, disrespectful, intoxicated, or violent behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Anyone identified as intoxicated, berating, intimidating, verbally abusing, or disrespecting our clients and team members, will be advised that this behaviour will not be tolerated and asked to leave. The police will be contacted.

Any future violation of this policy will result in our refusing to conduct business with the offender and any outstanding business finalised via written email communication only.
